What It Is
Unlock Requirements
Available from Season 1 onward. Every commander eventually picks one of two Professions, each granting exclusive skills that boost building, research, or combat depending on the path chosen.
- Requires Headquarters level 15.
- Must be during an active season, or one starting soon — not during the off-season phase.
- Requires building the "Profession Hall."
If you hit HQ 15 during an off-season, you'll need to wait for the next season to actually begin before the Profession Hall becomes buildable.
The Two Professions
Engineer — Build & Research
Features: shortens build and research time, reduces resource cost, increases resource efficiency, and leans toward defensive skills.
Best for: commanders who haven't hit level cap yet — Engineer is the fast track to solidifying basic build/research progress and locking in early combat power before switching to something more offense-focused.
Skills (Profession level to unlock, in parentheses):
Rapid Production (1) · Build for Free / Research for Free (10) · Cooperative Construction/Research (30) · Resource-Saving (35) · Recycling (35)War Leader — Combat
Features: enhances unit stats, boosts morale, accelerates Military Training and Build Now, and is mostly attack-oriented.
Best for: switching to once your basic construction and research are largely done — significant advantage in Capitol War, Cross-Warzone Battles, Seasonal Cross-Server Events, and PvP generally.
Skills (Profession level to unlock):
Immediate Return (1) · Drill Ground Prep (5) · Craze (10) · Inspire (25)Recommended Season Skills specifically:
Warzone Info (1) · Lucky Hunt (5) · Veteran (10) · Elite Hunter (15) · Virus Spread (25)Engineer Skill Priority (Level 1-50)

| Attack Military Stronghold (via Rally) | High — roughly 500 EXP per defeated unit, up to 25 units per rally |
| Attack City | Mid — roughly 470 EXP per 1,000 Durability consumed, much better once the 3 "Damage" skills are unlocked |
| Attack Military Stronghold Defender | Mid — roughly 800+ EXP per NPC Garrison defeated, but risky since it often draws other alliances into the fight |
| Defeat Zombie / Doom Elite | Mid, improves further once certain skills are unlocked |
Paid Methods

|---|---|
| Season Battle Pass | High |
| Profession EXP Pack (weekly special store) | Mid — aimed at Battle Pass owners who need extra EXP on top |
Changing Profession & Resetting Skills
Profession Change
Requires a Profession Change Certificate, obtainable from: Season Start Mail, individual Season Achievement rewards, the Season Store, and Premium Battle Pass/Exclusive Packs.
Skill Reset
Requires a Profession Skill Reset Book, obtainable from: individual achievement rewards (3 free copies available), the Season Store, and Premium Battle Pass/Pack purchases. Since a decent number of free copies are available, it's worth experimenting with different skill builds early rather than settling on the first one you pick.
Putting It Together
The Core Loop & Recommended Path
The application logic behind Profession Skills, as a repeating cycle: Resistance up → defeat higher-level world map monsters → Season Resources up → upgrade Season Building → Resistance up again (and repeat).
- Beginner / early season: go Engineer first, and use it to quickly advance build and research.
- Mid-to-late stage, or once PvP matters more: switch to War Leader to boost Troop Power instead.
- Profession EXP is most efficiently earned by upgrading Season Buildings specifically — prioritize that over combat-based EXP methods where practical.
- Make good use of free Skill Reset Books to adjust your skill configuration as your needs shift through the season, rather than locking in one build permanently.
